National Endowment for the Arts
- The
mission of The National Endowment
for the Arts is to enrich diverse
cultural heritage by supporting
works of artistic excellence,

Endowment produces a wide range

Art League: Washington DC Area
- Founded in 1954, The Art League seeks
to stimulate and encourage artists by
operating a gallery with many opportunities
for members, including monthly juried
shows of members' work, other chances
for exhibition of work and many educational
possibilities. It also operates a school
with over 2,000 students per term and
a supply store for the purchase of art
supplies by students and members. The
Art League currently has approximately
1,200 members.
